Saturday Spam

Happy Saturday to all, I hope you are enjoying your weekend and hitting all the polish sales.  Today I have a color that my wonderful husband pick out for me.  He knows my love for the color Pink.  I just love the fact that he will go on his own, not only looking for polish for me, but polish for others, that I have told him what they are looking for.  He bought the prettiest Pink that I have seen in a while, L'Oreal Penthouse Pink.  It did take 3 coats to reach full color, but the formula was smooth and easy.

I added a light coat of Color Club Magic, which is beautiful as a topper and even more stunning with two coats I used on my pointer fingers.  This is a great polish for the price and I love the shape of the bottles.  They look so pretty in my polish rack.

I accidentaly took a pic backwards using my cell phone, but I love how this turned out.  I am going to try and use this method in my light box.  What do you think? What pinks do you have and love.  That is all for today, until then, may you day be filled with lots of beautiful polish~

The Day after Christmas

WOW, Christmas has been here and gone already!  This year and especially this month has flown by.  My husband and I celebrated our 1st year of marriage on Christmas Eve.  Funny story...we got married at 11:30am on 12/24/11 and did not tell anyone, not even my best friend....yes, it was VERY hard for me to keep my mouth shut! We went to my parents house afterwards to start the holiday cheer.  We did not tell anyone when we got there either.  A few hours pass and my cousin, bless her little blonde soul, says very loudly, OMG look at that ring on Shea's finger!! Did ya'll get married?  I say in a very low tone, shhh, we just got married this morning.  She raises her glass of wine and yells "Shea and Robert got married this morning...whooo hoooo!!" We both looked at her with blank faces...she said whats wrong, I said, we have not told anyone yet, but they all know now!!  A classic Chevy Chase moment!

On to today nails.  My 1st real polish review is for none other than the brilliant Maria, from NailNation3000.  Her creations are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! If you love Holo's, Maria is your girl! I am wearing 4Get Me Not.  This just shouts LOOK AT ME!!!
This is was taken with flash to capture all of its beauty.  I buffed my nails prior to application and did not use a base or top coat.  All photos are 2 thick coats of pure happiness! The application was easy, formula was perfect, no clean up around my cuticles was needed~

You can purchase her beauties direct from Maria on her fan Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/#!/NailNation3000?fref=ts or through Llarowe.

Also featured in todays post is Simple Nail Art Tips, Pure Crisp cuticle oil.  This is the cure ALL of cuticle oils, nail hardeners and nail growth.  Anna's Pure Crisp cuticle oil pens are so easy to use and they smell so good.  I noticed an immediate change in the appearence of my dry cracked cuticles.  I have tried everything and nothing worked.  A fellow friend and blogger introduced me to this product and I will never go with out it.  Not only are my cuticles beautiful, but my nails are growing and look so healthy.  My husband has started demanding that I oil his cuticles every night!! He loves the smell too. You can purchase the Pure Crisp Cuticle Pens at http://www.simplenailarttips.com/products/pure-cuticle-oil and find wonderful Nail Art Tips on her facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/#!/SimpleNailArtTips  That is all for today, until tomorrow, may your day be filled with lots of beautiful polish~

Happy Holidays!

Can you believe Christmas is almost here? I cannot believe it is almost 2013, where did the time go!! In addidtion to being Christmas Eve, today is my 1 year anniversary :) My husband and I got married last year on Christmas Eve and did not tell anyone, not even my best friend~  Today I have a beautiful blue mani to share with you.  Those that know me, know that Pink is my favorite color, but Blue is now close behind.

I used Zoya Tallulah with China Glaze Fairy Dust, the accent ring is NUBAR Blue Sparkle. I recently purchased 3 blue from the Zoya line and love them all.  I will have more blue mani's later this week.

The lighting reflects a design on my nails, it looks pretty cool~ The China Glaze Fairy Dust has a ton of sparkle, I reccommed this to everyone.  It lights up any color!

As always, I used 1 coat Seche Vite followed by 1 coat of HK Girl top coat.  I wish everyone a safe and Happy Holiday.  Until then, may your day be filled with lots of beautiful polish~

Santa Nail Art Challenge

Happy Football Sunday to all! Today I have day 11 of the SMYTC Holiday Nail Art Challenge, and I have to say I am very pleased how this turned out.  Most of you know I have never painted my nails before and was so excited to participate in a few challenges.  Today I have what I call a "fat little Santa" stuck in the chimney.

His legs are a bit short, as my nails are nubs, but I am determined to let me grow as long and pretty. I used Zoya Sarah, Purity and Storm along with BL Chancer and Snooki Red Sparkle.

I like how the light relects off the tops of my fingers on this one.  His boots are tiny too :)  My New Years resolution is to focus on my health, blog daily and swatch all my polish on nail wheels with color names! I have agreed to join in on the 2013 SMYTC "No Buy", I know I know, those that know me are laughing!  Haha, but I am going to give it a try.  That is all for today.  Tomorrow I will have a BEAUTIFUL blue from Zoya....until then, may your day be filled with lots of beautfiul polish~

Nail Art Challenge - Holly

After all of the recent tragedies around the world, I have not felt up to blogging or even painting my nails.  However, polish does make the world go 'round :) My post today is day 9 of the SMYTC Holiday Nail Art Challenge.  This was a challenge for me, as I had no clue how to "paint" Holly.

I suppose I could have outlined them, but who am I kidding....I hold my breath when I polish my nails!! I would have passed out trying to outline the green blobs :)  Once I figure out how to use my new light box, my photo's should look better.

I used my "go to" holiday poish, China Glaze Glistening Snow, Nubar Red Sparkle and a Sinful green with no name.  I am looking forward to the next challenge, which is Gifts.  Until then, may your day be filled with beautiful polish.

Snowman Art Challenge

I wasnt going to post anything today, my heart is weeping for those lost and the parents.  I decided to share my snowman nail art, as it reminds me of all the fun snow brings to children.  My heart and prayers go out to those affected by this senseless crime.

Everychild loves a sled ride in the snow.

I am at a loss for words, and not sure what to say. May God give comfort and strength to all.

Well, I have made it to my 2nd day of blogging.  Today I have a very untraditioinal Christmas Tree nail art for Day 6 of the SMYTC Nail Art Challenge.  Wow, we are already half way through.  My mani for this challenge is pretty basic.  I used Zoya Lola and Gilda. for the accent nail, I used SH Rockstar Nails Pink for my Christmas Tree.  Of course it is pink :)

I think it turned out okay, my gradient with the glitter go away from me.  Practice, pratice!!

Thank  you for taking the time to follow my blog.  Until then, may your day be filled with beautiful polish.
