Nerd Lacquer Nerd Lacquer!!

Helllo!  Today's post is about.....yup, you guessed it, Nerd Lacquer!! When I got started in to the nail polish world back in September, I did not have a clue that Indies existed or things such as a nail art stamping imagine plate.  As I socialized daily in a number of groups I belong to, I kept seeing everyone say when is NL coming back or I think I will wear an NL tomorrow.  Too new to ask, and I did not want to seem stupid, I never asked what NL stood for.  Then, finally one day someone said , Amanda with Nerd Lacquer is coming back after being gone for a year.  FINALLY I knew what "NL" meant.  Not knowing how spectacular her polishes were, I jumped on bored the day of the relaunch.  Today's post is about my new favorite Blue polish, Shiny......and O-M-G!!! What a fabulously stunningly gorgeous polish!! Enough talk and let's get to the pictures.... ** This is picture heavy**  This is 3 thin coats, with 2 coats of Seche Vite.

What do you think? Such a stunning polish! If you do not own any Nerd Lacquer polish, I highly recommend staying updated by following her on G+.  If you like baby blue polish, you will LOVE Shiny!! I have not been able to stop looking at my hands :)  I have found a new love for a few apps on my Ipad and really like the way the photo below turned out.

That is all for today.  Feel free to comment, any and all are so appreciated.  Thank you for taking the time to read my blog, until next time, may your days be filled with lots of beautiful polish.

Erica's Nail and More Nail Art Challenge Last Day

WOW! It is true that time does fly fast when you are having fun! We are already at the end of Erica's challenge.  Like her challenge last November, it has been such a pleasure to participate in with such creative women.  I am looking forward to her next challenge.  For the last challenge, Day 9, was to recreate your favorite mani.  This could be one of your own or that of a fellow participant. When I saw Caitlin's with Epic Nail Time's Day 8 Polka Dot  mani, I knew I had to try it.  For my recreation, I used L'Oreal The Muse's Attitude and Members Only, with Cult Nails Tempest.  Let's get on to the photo's, shall we...

This is Caitlin's beautiful mani.  I was not able to create it exactly as her, as my nails are not quite long enough..

Sooooo Pretty!!

I am so addicted to the Color Splash App and the Bukaful App that I have started to include a "funky" pic of my mani too.  Thank you Erica for having me again in your fantastic nail art challenge!  That is it for today, what are your thought?  Until next time, may your day be filled with lots of beautiful polish.

Nails From Fairy Tale Nail Art Contest

Today's post is about a nail art contest I entered a few weeks ago and the voting has begun.  There are some very neat entries along with mine.  The contest is being held by Nails From Fairy Tale.  Since I am not a huge Valentine's Day person, I chose to do a non-Valentine art design.  The contest is based on votes and the 2nd place winner will be chosen by her mom.  How neat is that!! Here is my entry :) To vote, click on the link below the photo and "like" my entry in the Nail Art Album

That is all for today. Tomorrow, Erica's Nails and More's Nail Art Challenge comes to an end :( I will have day 9.  Until then, may your day be filled with lots of beautiful polish.

Ruby White Tips Review

Hello! Today I have 2 more duo-chrome polishes from Ruby White Tips.  These are from her Kill Bill Collection.  The first one I have for you is Crazy 88.  I used  two coats of Essie Butler Please with 2 coats of Crazy 88. I love this combination.  Let's have a look...

This Duo Chrome will look good with just about any color used for an undie.

The next one I have is Pussy Wagon and it is gorgeous!  There are so many possibilities with this one.  I used two coats of China Glaze Ingrid and two coats of Pussy Wagon..  Let's have a look at how these came out...

As always, I used 2 coat of Seche Vite on both colors.  I really like how the copper color is brought out by the China Glaze.  What do you think?  I appreciate all comments left.  You can purchase Ruby White Tips at her new online store here and enter code SHEABLOG for 15% off your order. You can also check our her Facebook page here.  I hope you enjoy these as much as I did, until next time, may your days be filled with lots of beautiful polish~

If you missed, please head over to my earlier post and enter using the Rafflecopter.  On to today's 2nd post....I was very excited for this one.  Day 7 of our challenge was for us to create a mani inspired by a tutorial.  I came across this fantastic tutorial a few weeks ago and knew that it would be the one I would try.  For this I used Sinful Colors Cinderella,  Essie Butler Please, Play Date and Lights. I used 1 coat Seche Vite followed by 1 coat of HK Girl top coat.  On to the photo's, this is my attempt of a "Fan" mani.....

I found this fan art tutorial online from Beautylish.com/simplenartartdesigns and as you can see from the picture below, it appeared to be a fun and simple, however this is a technique that will take practicing.  I am really pleased how this turned out as my 1st every attempt.  I certainly look forward to perfecting this mani in the future.

Gradient Nail Challenge Day 6

Today's post is all about gradient nail art.  No matter what colors are used, every gradient mani I have seen is absolutely beautiful.  It is just about the only process for me that is goof proof :)  For this challenge I used Zoya Purity for my base color, along with Essie Lights and Essie Play date.  I then used 2 thin coats of Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat in Silver, followed by 1 coat of HK Girl.  Let's take a look at how this came out.  As a Pink and Purple lover, I am pleased with the outcome.  I am testing out a new App for my Ipad called Bokehful, which I came across on Instagram.  It is the neatest thing for adding an unusual touch to your photo's.

So there you have it.  What do you think?  I welcome any and all comments, as well as suggestions~

Valentine's Day Challenge Mani

Happy Happy Valentine's Day to all!! Wow, it is already mid February and we are on day 5 of the nail art challenge....half way through!! I enjoy participating in these challenges and love seeing everyone's designs.  Today's post, of course, is a Valentine's Day mani :) This one too, was a challenge for me as I am not a big fan of this day.  I did manage to incorporate just a tiny bit of animal print. On to the photo's...

I am not sure what happen with the lighting in my light box, but the colors used were Butter London Pillar Box Red, Zoya Purity and Essie Punchy Pink.  I liked how this turned out, especially the Zebra print heart~
