Wednesday's with Lynnderella | Did Someone Say Pink?

Hello Lovelies!

It's Wednesday and that means it's time for my weekly Lynnderella Post and I have a beauty for you today.  It may be the middle of the week, but sadly, my birthday girls getaway comes to an end tomorrow.  My mom arranged for a girls gambling trip for my Birthday, which was Monday and it has been non-stop laughter! Everytme we take a girls trip, my stomach hurts from laughing so hard.  We are all blonde, except my daughter and one of us always says something that just quite doesn't make sense, but we all think it's so damn funny.  Something always happens, hilariously happens, that we add to the "it can only happen to us girl trips journal", which we go back and laugh even more at all the silly things we've said and done.  It moments like these that I will always cherish.  I am so blessed to have such a young mom, she can do circles around me! This girls trip, my daughter, who lives in Fort Worth, was able to drive down to San Antonio and go with myself, my mom, cousin and my Aunt.  It has been a lot of fun, so many new memories were made and I don't want it to end.  They are all asleep in our hotel room while I'm typing up this blog post.  What I'm really thinking is, It's 3:30am and I should go down to the Casino and play the $1 slots! Haha

On to the beautiful Lynnderella polish, Did Someone Say Pink?  Those that know me, know my love affair with Pink polish is very strong.  Did Someone Say. Pink? Is a cool pink creme with blue and warm red shimmer, so dainty, delicate and simply gorgeous.  I used 3 thin coats with a coat of Darling Diva Pryzmatic PETC Topcoat and did not have any application issues, the formula was excellent..  This is a Limited Edition color that can be bid on, auction style, on their EBay store.   You can also find other LE's in their Storenvy shop as well.  Is there a polish you want, but you do not see it on either website, you can send Lynnderella an Email for inquiries.  Be sure to follow the Lynnderella Blog to stay up to date on up coming auctions.

Look at that macro shot, it reminds me of a fairytale princess color!  That is all I have for you today, after 3 days of non-stop laughter and lack of sleep, I will be going to bed early tonight.  Until next time, keep looking up cause that's where is all is!

Sparkly Vernis | Right up my Ally & Fire Flies and Stars - Part 2

Hello Lovelies!

**Press Sample**

I have the final 2 polishes from Sparkly Vernis to share with you today, that were sent to me for my honest review.   Before I get started I have to tell you what I witnessed today while my husband and I were eating.  It has been on my mind ever since and has really bothered me.  We sit down and Immediately notice a family, young couple in their 20's with 4 young children, two boys and 2 girls all under the age of 6.  Facing me is the dad and what appears to be 2 years old twins, a boy and a girl, just adorable!  As time goes on, I see the dad in a stern voice tell the little boy to eat his food, the child already has food in his mouth.  This man picks up a fork, puts a few spiral noodles on it and shoves it in the little boys mouth and yells "eat it now", which caught everyone's attention.  The poor little boy has fear in his eyes, tries to open his mouth even more and starts gaging, yet his dad is still forcing the food into his mouth, looking at right at him saying "chew it chew it!"  I sat there in disbelief as this little boy tried to quickly chew his food.  The man continued to stay on his ass, telling him to eat his food and when the boy went to take a drink, he again raised his voice and said "I didn't say that you could have a drink". At this point I can no longer eat my food as I watched, then the boy picks ups a piece of meat and the dad looks over, slaps his hand that's holding the fork, which drops out of his hand and says "I told you not to take another bite" and the poor boy starts to cry, mind you he's 2 or younger.  My heart is racing and I start thinking, this is that TV show "What Would You Do", it has to be, parents don't act like this.  Sadly, no that wasn't the case.  This jackass continues to harass his child by telling the other kids how bad he is and that he won't be getting a snack or eat anything else for the day.   I could see the fear in this little boys eyes and could tell nothing he did was going to ever be right. The "dad" grants permission for him to take a drink of his juice.  I started to tear up in the restaurant and wanted to so badly walk over to their table and give this man a piece of my mind and hug that poor little boy and tell this douche bag exactly what I thought! I had finished eating and it was time for us to leave and I just could not don't get up.  The little boy was looking at me, I smiled at him,  quickly waved and we left the restaurant.  That was 10 hours ago and all I have been able to think about is this poor kid that I watched be abused for an hour.  I don't want to even think how things are at home, if this man has no problem yelling at kid child in public.  Everyone around us and them had the same look on their faces as my husband and I did.  I will be praying for those kids, especially that adorable little boy.

Tissues are put away and I'm ready to tell you about these two beautiful polishes! I saved these for last, as they are my favorite colors.   The formula on both of these are nice, some could get away with just one coat, but I do need to warn you use a good base coat with Fire Flies and Stars, as I had staining and only had the polish on less than 5 minutes.  Let's take a look at my photos and you will see a big difference on the photos where I used my new LED lamp that I spoke about in yesterday's post.  I am so glad I bought this lamp!!

Fire Flies and Stars has gold shimmer and silver holographic microglitter blended together in a burgundy base.  It is a beautiful vampy color, but did quickly stain, as I only had the polish on for less than 5 minutes.  I strongly recommend using a good base coat to prevent staining.  I will be wearing this one again, as I love microglitters :)

Right Up My Alley is a Bright red crelly with pink undertones, purple shimmer and fine holographic dust.  This is a limited Edition and a must have! Wow, this is a stunner of a creation and lives up to it's name.  If I were to create a custom polish, this is it exactly.  I love everything about it and cannot wait to wear it again with some sort of nail art.

Can you tell the difference in my photos? I a very pleased with my new LED desk lamp and love how the photos of Right Up My Ally came out, it shows the exact color as it is.  You can find these and other gorgeous polishes on the Sparkly Vernis website.  To keep up with new releases and launch dates, be sure to follow on Facebook and Instagram.  That is all I have for you this evening.  Until next time, keep looking up cause that's where is all is!

Sparkly Vernis | Polish Stories & Peach Bouquet | Part 1

Hello Lovelies!!

Happy days it's Friday and the weekend is here! Another week that flew by so quickly and a few new shows premiered this week.  Last night Mistresses aired and man oh man, was it good, it's going to be another great season.  I watched the pilot to Complications as well, a new show that had my full attention for the entire hour and a half!! Did anyone watch these? My DVR is set to record so I can watch them commercial free :)

Today I have two of the four polishes that Sparkly Vernis sent to me for my honest review, to share with you. The other two polishes will be posted tomorrow. The weather has been non-stop thunderstorms with a lot of rain, which resulted in flooding and no sunshine.  I managed to snap a few photo's in the sun, that was literally out for just a few seconds! I decided to invest in a high end LED lamp for my nail polishing desk, so that I am not at the mercy of the sun all the time.  It is scheduled to arrive tomorrow and I am so excited to photograph with it for part 2 of my review.  On to the details.....I did not have any application issues at all, in fact the formula is on point and simply glided onto my nails nicely.

Polish Stories is a shimmery purple with pink and blue undertones. This is a medium blurple that adds balance to the other girly SV frankies and is deemed a "unique batch"  This is a one-coater! Yes, just one coat, but out of habit I applied 2 coats and finished with Out the Door Top Coat. The color is mesmerizing in real life.  I plan to use this again and add a holographic stamping design.  I can picture it now, gorgeous!!

Peach Bouquet is a light orange jelly with a hint of pink and stunning purple shimmer decorates this flowery bunch.  This too is listed as a "unique batch".  This is an appropriate shade for the work place. I used 3 thin coats to reach full opacity to avoid having a VNL, again no issues at all with the application and then finished with Out the Door Top Coat.  I do have plans to use this shade again and add some free handed nail art.

How gorgeous are these two polishes!?!?  I love the macro shots that show the subtle shimmer.  I cannot say enough great things about this Indie brand.  Sparkly Vernis is a definite must have for any polish lover.  I have two more to share with you tomorrow, using my new LED desk lamp, which I am very excited to see how the photographs turn out.  That is all I have for you today.  Until next time, keep looking up cause that's where is all is!

Shinespark Polish - 80's Neon Collection

Hello Lovelies!

I have a fabulous review for you today and you will need your sunglasses for this one.  Summer is here so let the neon party bless our nails and toes! I love summer and even more so, I love bright neon colored mani's and Pedi's, the kind that If you were to get lost, all you would have to do is hold your hands up to be found! LOL.  I have the 80's Neon Collection from Shinespark Polish, which comes in a mini set too.  With each mani, I chose not to use a white base, as I wanted to see how the formula applied.  For most of the polishes, I used 2 coats and some took 3.  The first coat was just slightly streaky, but built of beautifully on the 2 or 3 coat and the formula is very nice, no bubbling.  Since the watermarbling God's have not blessed me, I did a "Blob-Saran Wrap" technique, which I'm really pleased with how it tuned out.  For my accent nail I did use a base of white, then dabbed 4 of the colors onto my nails in different places and then used the Sarah wrap technique, added a few bling-bling accents and Viola!

Glam Green - 3 Coats

Psych'd Purple - 2 Coats

Bouncin Blue - 2 Coats

Yuppie Yellow - 3 Coats

Outrageous Orange - 3 Coats

Radical Red - 2 Coats This is more Coral than Red

Pumped Pink - 3 Coats

This is such a bright and fun collection and I love that you can get it in Full size and Mini size as well.  You can purchase this collection on the Shinespark Polish website and view her other polishes too.  Keep updated by following Shinespark Polish on Instagram and Facebook .  That is all I have for you today, I wish I would have been successful with watermarbling, as these polishes fit the bill for it!  Until next time, keep looking up cause that's where it all is!
