Born Pretty Store Nail Art Liner Brush & A Robin Moses Inspired Mani

Hello Lovelies!!

**Press Sample**

I hope that everyone had a great weekend, despite the fact that I'm still dealing with tons of pain in my ribs, I did indeed have a nice weekend.  We took my stepson to the gym we recently joined, Lifetime Fitness, so he could get his membership ID made and he was thrilled about the facility,  I must admit this gym has everything from a beauty salon, to rock climbing, a healthy cafe to an exotic outdoor pool.  Not to mention any and every kind of machine you need to get yourself into shape.  For now, I use the indoor pool and lap pool, and finish my day relaxing in the jacuzzi and steam room.  I could literally stay there all day with everything they offer.  I'm looking forward to participating in a few of the many classes they offer.  I've been wanting to give Yoga, Pilates and their "Hip-Hop class a try.

Today I have a very nice nail art liner brush, from the Born Pretty Store, that they sent to me for my honest review. It's Pink, slender, easy to hold and maneuver, plus it has sparkles in the handle, its a Win-Win!!  I've been searching for a nice nail art brush that is not only affordable, but is also durable and works with well for free handing nail art designs.  The brush length is the perfect size for creating any free-handed nail designs.  I'm a big fan of Robin Moses, she is so very talented, I could watch her YouTube tutorial videos all day, her work is amazing.  I chose to recreates one of her designs, Black and White Daises, to showcase just how smoothly the Born Pretty nail art brush works.  *Just a note, this is only my second attempt at free hand*  I'm pleased with the outcome, I wish I had waited just a tad bit longer to add the top coat, as it smeared just a little bit.

This is the perfect brush for free handing any design, it does not tug and it holds the polish vey well.  The item number for this brush is 18519.  Like everything at the Born Pretty Story, it is very affordable and you can save an additional 10%  by using HYSQ10 at check out.  Click here to add this fabulous brush to your cart.  In addition to saving 10% off your entire order, The Born Pretty Store always offers free shipping too!!

In one of the polish related Facebook groups I belong to, Nail Addicts, we decided to do a little tribute to Robin Moses.  If you have never taken a look at her work, you are missing out.  She is not only talented, but such an inspiration and I love that she has nail art tutorials for all levels.  My favorite flowers are Daises, so it was no surprise that I chose to re-create her Black and White Daisies mani.  The tutorial was fabulous and easy to follow....now, if only I was as good as she is at free handing a design, but I am pleased with how these turned out!

I think with a little bit of practice this can be done again.  For me, the hardest part was creating the swirl designs on the sides of the nails.  For comparison, Robin's masterpiece is simply divine and trendy, ready for the work place or sitting on a beach enjoying the sun :)

Have you tried any of Robin Moses's nail art creations?  I enjoyed giving this one a try and look forward to doing more.  Remember you can get all the necessary nail art supplies you need from  The Born Pretty Store and save 10% off your order using HYSQ10 discount code at checkout. That is all I have for you today.  Until next time, keep looking up cause that's where is all is!!

Sparkly Vernis - Gilded Lemon Drops, Snowflakies & Spring in Your Step

Happy Friday Lovelies!!

**Press Sample**

I don't know about you, but I am so glad this week is over.  I have 3 gorgeous polishes from Sparkly Vernis to share with you today.  All of these are Holo's and the formula and application was seamless, one of them is even a 1 coater and the colors can be worn year round.  This is my first experience with this brand, it is new to me and I was extremely impressed.  I will be showcasing Gilded Lemon Drops, Snowflakies and Spring in Your Steps.  In all of my photo's I used HK Girl Stuck on Blue base coat and Darling Diva Pryzmatic PETC Top Coat.

Gilded Lemon Drops - is a shimmery gold with a strong holographic flame. This shade has no green undertones and very little yellow-a classic gold meets silver. A little trivia taken from the Sparkly Vernis website: Did you know gold leaf is edible? With Gilded Lemon Drops, your nails will look good enough to eat (although we don't recommend it!).

Snowflakies - embraces the trends that made 2014 an exciting year for indie polish-holographic with iridescent flakies. Added to the mix, is the most serene blue shimmer. It can be layered over any polish to take it up a notch, or it is opaque on its own in three coats.  I wore this alone and it is a STUNNER!

Spring in Your Step - A Jade holographic with gold shimmer. This is a light green with yellow undertones. It is a classy color that makes the nails look exquisite. This was my favorite of the three and is a 1 coater!

I am very pleased with this Indie Brand and do plan on adding a few more to my collection.  All three of these are still available on the Sparkly Vernis website, I will leave the link below.  These were sent to me for my honest review and my opinions are of my own and not influenced in any way.  That is all I have for you today.  Until next time, keep looking up cause that's where is all is!

Lynnderella Wednesday - Love Is All Around ( Delayed )

Hello Lovelies!!

**PR Sample**

You may remember in a previous post I spoke of my new weight loss journey and how I had started back at the gym with a trainer, in attempt to overcome one of the diseases I have......well, I was doing fantastic, until my Monday workout.  I somehow managed to rip cartilage in my ribs on my right side, ugh and its so painful.  I spent all day and night in the ER, it took them 14 tries to get an IV in me.  Yes, that means I was "stuck" 14 times in my arms, neck and feet with them trying to get a vein that worked!! It was a long painful day with X-rays and a CT Scan.  I am determined to not let this bring me down and look at it as just a slight set back.  I do plan to get back to the gym tomorrow to start back slowly with water workouts.  So there you have my small life mishap, and why my Wednesday Lynnderella is a day late.

Today I've got a beauty for you from the Lynnderella Valentine Collection.   Love Is All Around contains assorted magenta, red and pink round glitters with fuchsia microglitter and a pink-shimmered clear base.  It is a stunner!  I used 1 coat over Enchanted Polish Paint It Black, which brings out the pink-shimmered base and makes all the glitter colors pop.  I simply love it!  In looking at Love Is All Around, I think this could be worn alone too, in addition to layering over so many different bright colors for the summer. I will definitely be wearing this one this summer on my toes with a few bright polishes.

So much beauty and sparkle in this bottle, it's like a party on your nails!  This is part of the Lynnderella core line and can be purchased as a "Buy it Now" on Ebay or on the Lynnderella Storenvy shop.  I will leave all the links below.  Are you a big Lynnderella fan like me?  I would love to hear from my fellow Lynn Lovers.  That is all I have for you today.  Until next time, keep looking up, cause that's where it all is!

Boardgame - This a gorgeous tomato red that dries to a glossy finish. I love the formula and it applied so easily, no issues at all.

WPA - Is a nice cool toned medium Blue, it isn't as glossy as the others, but its still a lovely formula and color.  No issues at all.

Tomorrowland - Is a beautiful shade of Eggplant purple and again, the formula was on point.  All three of these apply nice and smooth.

Square Hue is a monthly nail polish subscription box, that delivers a unique, curated collection of premium nail polish colors to its style aware members. Today I have a beautiful polish to share with you, Lynnderella Are Those Eggs Holo?  If you are a lover of Green, then you will definitely want to pick this one up.  Are Those Eggs Holo is bright green holo-accented glitter with pastel and bright accents in a clear base and can be worn alone or over a base color.  This is such a fun and cheery polish and I wore 2 coats alone with 1 coat of Gelous and 1 coat of Seche Vite. 30 Days of Colour May Challenge Day 1 - Gold / Dotticure

Hello Lovelies!!

It's a new month and that means a brand new nail challenge :)  Our challenge for May is going to be a little bit different.  We will still have a color theme, but this month we have added in nail art too, but we will only post 3 times a week.  This challenge is very optional, as you can choose to only swatch color or only do the nail art, or do both.  Today is the first day of the challenge, however anyone can Join Us, it is a lovely group of ladies and you can post at your leisure.  You do not have to be a blogger either.  You can post in the group, on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc Anywhere you'd like to.  I will include a copy the 30 Days of Colour Challenge details below.  Now, today is Day 1 and our themes are Gold and Dotticure.  Oh boy, I haven't don't nail art in quite some time and after I finished, I thought to myself, "why didn't I stamp this" haha!  It was a fun experience and I plan to practice those dots more.

Gold - For my Gold, I used Enchanted Polish The Good Life.  There is so much rainbow sparkle packed into this polish, it was blinding me while I was trying to take these photos!!

Dotticure - For this I used Picture Polish Whimsy, Enchanted Polish The Good Life and Color Me Monthly Monday.  This is the second time, I think I have attempted a "dotticure" mani.  Although it looked easy when I was searching for inspiration, it isn't, for me at least.  It takes a steady hand and the right amount of polish dabbed onto the dotting tool. I'm happy with the way these turned out and look forward to comparing them later down the line after I have mastered this technique!

Have you tried this technique before and are you a master at it?  I found so many inspiring designs on Pinterest that were so pretty and looked a bit too difficult for me, so I went with a mixture of a few I found to be the simplest.  Please do join us in our challenge for May and remember, you can chose which theme you want to do, you do not have to do both.  That is all I have for you today.  Until next time, keep looking up, cause that's where is all is!

XOXO, Shea
