Guest Post - Lisa from My Stunning Nails

Hi all! My name is Lisa from My Stunning Nails (link). I haven't done a guest post for a while
although I have guest posters on my blog regularly. This is exciting and I appreciate Shea letting
me post on her blog.
Today's post is all about embellishments. I had this polish I've been wanting to try for some time,
SpaRitual's Crytal Waters. The accent is Butter London Poole. The rhinestine bow is from the
Born Pretty Store and I have been looking for the perfert opportunity to use it. With the finishing
touch of a small rhinestone at the top of each nail I was satisfied. What are your thoughts?

Thanks so much for taking the time to check out this post. You can find more of my nail posts at
http://mystunningnails.com.

Thank you Lisa for your fabulous and very pretty guest post.  That is we have for you today. Until next time, keep looking up, cause that's where it all is!

30 Days of Colour Challenge Day 30 - Swatchers Choice ILNP King & Queens

Hello Lovelies!!

Wow, I cannot believe we are already on Day 30! The month of April has flown by and I have had so much fun participating in this challenge.  I have discovered so many beautiful polishes that I had not tried.  Our group does have plans for a May challenge and we invite everyone to join us.  Our theme for Day 30 is Swatchers Choice and I selected the ever so gorgeous ILNP King & Queens.  I could literally paint one of my walls with this color! LOL  I love deep-wine, vampy colors.  King & Queens is described as: a lusciously rich Ultra Holo that words can’t even do justice! The deep and saturated burgundy hue of Kings & Queens functions as the perfect backdrop to the absolutely incredible holographic glow this nail polish delivers. This is a jaw dropping beauty that will get you nothing but compliments!  For the last day of this challenge, I decided to throw in a little nail art, with Enchanted Polish Dime Piece and an image from one of my Bundle Monster plates.  Application for King & Queens was nice and went on smoothly, no issues to report and I did not have any staining!

Such a beauty, but my stamping skills need more work, which is why I am excited that our May challenge will include nail art! Do you own this beauty? I'd like to give a big Thank you to Kathrine Maria for organizing our April challenge.  That is all I have for today.  Until next time, keep looking up, cause that's where it al is!

30 Days of Colour Challenge Day 29 - Friends Choice Cupcake Polish Peep Show

Hello Lovelies!

It is Day 29 of our 30 Days of Colour Swatch Challenge and our theme is "Friend's Choice".  My friends think I'm insane for the amount of polish I own, so rather than listen to them go on and on, LOL, I asked my husband to pick one out for me.  He chose Cupcake Polish Peep Show, which was "Mystery Egg" #1 of the trio that was released around Easter time.  I am so sorry to post another polish that isn't for sale, however, I have found a few that are listed on Storeny, if you missed out.  Peep Show is a dusty-lilac-lavender  with flecks of copper and a beautiful rainbow holo effect. The formula was a little thicker than what I am used to, so I used 2 thin coats and a coat of Darling Diva Pryzmatic PETC Top Coat. This stuff is amazing, if you haven't tried it, oh my you need to!

What do you think? Gorgeous, right!  Were you able to get any of the mystery eggs?  That is all I have for today.  Keep looking up cause that's where is al is!

30 Days of Colour Challenge Day 28 - Random The Devil Wears Polish Blue Protype

Hello Lovelies!!

Today is day 28 and our theme is "Random".  I selected a very beautiful polish from The Devil Wears Polish, sorry it isn't one that can be purchased, as it is a Blue prototype.  Do not fret, the best thing, other than Tami's polishes, that I love is that she always offers prototypes!! She sent me this gorgeous deep blue holo with one of my recent orders.  It was a pleasant surprise and a very nice gesture :) As always, the application was flawless and I had no issues at all, not even with staining.  In my photos I used 2 coats and 1 coat of Darling Diva Pryzmatic PETC Top Coat.

Wowza, right!?! I absolutely love, love , love this holographic shade of blue.  In my opinion, it should be part of her core line, but then we all wouldn't get to enjoy all of her prototypes.  If you have not tried The Devil Wears Polish, you certainly need to, they are AAAmazing!  That is all I have for you today.  Until next time, keep looking up cause that's where it all is!

30 Days of Colour Challenge Day 27 - Untried Zoya Charla

Hello Lovelies!

I am sorry for my delay in posting for this month's swatch challenge, I was the lucky recipient of the stomach bug, yuk!  Today I am sharing Day 27 and our theme is Untried.  Most of my collection is sadly, untried, so this wasn't an easy choice and in the end, I went with the gorgeous Zoya Charla.  I never knew how beautiful this polish really was.  Charla is described on the Zoya website as: a tropical blue sparkling metallic. I see hints of gold shimmer and teal in my bottle and in my photos.  Either way, its one gorgeous polish.

That is all I have for today.  Until next time, keep looking up, cause that's where it all is!

30 Days of Colour Challenge Day 26 - ReSwatch KBShimmer Green Hex &Glam

Hello Lovelies!!

Wow, where did the weekend go?!? We had bad weather this weekend, storms and flooding.  Not fun at all, as I'm a big scairdy-cat!  In a previous post I mentioned I asked my husband to make me a few ottomans this weekend, to go with our Adirondack chairs on our deck.  That is exactly what he did! I showed him a photo of what I wanted, and away he went to building them.  I will show y'all a photo of them, they haven't been painted yet.  Today is day 26 and the theme is "Re-Swatch" I was uncertain about this one, so I asked our host what it meant.  She intended for it to mean that we were to re-swatch a polish that we had tried before, it didn't have to from this challenge.  I went with KBShimmer Green Hex & Glam, which I had tried when I purchased it last year and is described as:  Green hex And Glam was actually a custom polish for Kayla’s 3 year blogaversary, but I knew it would also be a perfect Christmas shade!  She wanted a green version on I Got A Crush On Blue.  I recreated that custom, with a deep green jelly base.  I then loaded that base with silver holographic hex glitters in sizes from micro to extra-large for an ultra-sparkly polish.  Best in 3 coats.  I did In fact use 3 coats with 1 coat of Gelous and a coat of HK Girl Top Coat.  It's such a gorgeous polish, one that I would wear year round.

Here is the unfinished ottoman, it still needs to be painted the same color as the chair.  My husband made that too!

Now, here are the gorgeous photo's:

It is hard to pick a favorite with KBShimmer, but this is one of my fav's! What is your favorite? That is all I have for today.  Until next time, keep looking up cause that's where it all is!

30 Days of Colour Challenge Day 25 - Favorite Pahlish Toxic and Timeless

Hello Lovelies!

What a Saturday this has started off to be.  I was quickly woken up to the sounds of thunder, piercing  lightning and hail slamming against the windows of our house at 3:30 this morning.  I am terrified of storms, so what a better way to keep my mind off what's going on outside, than to write up my blog post for today!! We are dwindling down to the final week in our 30 Days of Colour Swatch Challemge.  Today's theme is "Favorite" and I chose my first ever polish purchase, Pahlish Toxic and Timeless.  At the time I purchased this back in 2012, I had no idea what Indie brands were popular, in fact I don't even remember how I came across her store on Etsy, but I am so glad I did.  After I got the polish in the mail, I was hooked and placed 3 more orders.  I kept going back to her shop and saw things I just had to have, I should have just placed one order for those 6 bottles, instead of three orders of 2 bottles, LOL  Pahlish Toxic and Timeless is a green leaning teal jelly with a mix of large gold and blue hex glitters, bar glitters, smaller hexes and a hint of holo or iridescent glitter.  The first time I put this on, I could not stop staring at my nails, I was in awe.  The color is deep like a tropical ocean and the mixture of glitters is sheer perfection.  It has a bit of sentimental meaning to me, as it was my very first polish purchase ❤️ I love it and it is my all time favorite.  Shown is 2 coats over Zoya Charla and HK Girl Top Coat.

So gorgeous and tantalizing at the same time.  I am going to keep this post short as my Fibro has been acting up for the last 2 days :( Until next time, keep looking up cause that's where it all is!

30 Days of Colour Challenge Day 24 - Oldest Darling Diva Polish Electric Sex

Hello Lovelies and Happy Friday!!

Yay, I am so glad the week is over and the weekend is here.  My very talented and handy husband is going to make me a few Adirondack ottomans to match our chairs on the deck tomorrow.  I will do more swatching :). Today is day 24 of our swatch challenge and the theme is "Oldest". I managed to find a bottle of Electric Sex by Darling Diva Polish !!  I have had this polish since I first became a polish lover.  Electric Sex is from the 2012 Holiday Collection that was inspired by the movie A Christmas Story. It's a blackened sheer jelly base with gold holo hex, Gold glitter bars and a few other sparkly goodness.  I used 1 coat over Enchanted Polish Paint it Black.  The formula was still perfect and went on smoothly.  After sitting for over 2 years, I didn't even have to add Glitter Food to it!!

I just love this polish! It is so pretty and I think it would look great on any bright colored polish too.  Do you have any older-vintage Darling Diva polishes?  I found a handful today while looking for a polish to use for this challenge.  That is all I have for today.  Until next time, keep looking up cause that's where it all is!

30 Days of Colour Challenge Day 23 - Newest Colors By Llarowe Kit

Hello Lovelies!

I'm so glad it's almost Friday, this week has been super busy for me, especially today, which is why I'm so late in getting this post up.  I finally convinced my husband to buy a wireless printer....good, right? Well, in the midst of taking out the older printer, he decided to just re do the entire office as I'm trying to download the software to my laptop and get the wireless printer connected. LOL. Needless to say, I do have much more room for polishing and blogging!  Today's theme for our challenge is Newest and what came in the mail today??? My Colors By Llarowe order < happy dance> talk about perfect timing.  I chose Kit and Leah Ann has out done herself with this very gorgeous polish!! Kit is a Hot pink crelly with assorted glitters and iridescent blue hexes and a sprinkling of holo, with complete coverage in 2-3 coats.  I used 2 coats and I coat of HK Girl Top Coat.  This isn't a polish you want to get in a car and drive with, because you won't be able to stop stating at your nails! There were no issues with the formula and no staining.

This is sheer perfection!  As a pink hoarding lover-collector, this one will make it on to my top 5 list.  I cannot say enough great things about this polish, its simply divine and a must have for Pink polish lovers.  Did you order any of the new polishes from the Pretty Woman collection?  There are a few more I'd like to get.  I will say this is by far the best collection Leah Ann has created.  That is all I have for you this late evening.  Until next time, keep looking up cause that's where it all is!

30 Days of Colour Challenge Day 22 - Pastel Chaos & Crocodiles LH07

Hello Lovelies!!

I was so confused and thought yesterday was Wednesday! I just had to go back and correct that small error!! Now I can correctly say Happy Wednesday and cheers to the week almost being over!  For Day22 our theme is Pastel and I chose the very beautiful LH07 from Chaos & Crocodiles.  It's Holo, it's Pink.....what more can I say, lol!  This is not a polish that is still available, but you may be able to find it on Ebay, Storeny or in a Facebook polish group.  LH07 is a Lilac Dusty Pink with a linear holographic effect.  It is simply beautiful and the perfect light pastel Pink.  As always, there were no issues with the application, it was flawless,  just glided on my nails.  I used 2 thin coats and 1 coat of HK Girl Top Coat.

This is one of my favorite lighter shades of Pink. As a lover of Pink, I tend to go for the deeper-brighter shades, but this one caught my eye and well, I had to have it.  You can keep up to date  with C&C on their  Facebook page. shop on their Website  and follow their Blog Are you a C&C fan and collector?  I have a nice size collection and love the brand.  That is all I have for today.  Until next time, keep looking up cause that's where it all is!

30 Days of Colour Challenge Day 21 - Neon - KBShimmer Radioactive

Hello Lovelies!!

Today is a fun color post.  Our theme for Day 21 is Neon.  I am sharing with you the most unique polish I have in my collection, KBShimmer Radioactive.  I bought this when it first came out and have never used it.  I am so thrilled I decided to join this 30 Days of Colour Swatch Challenge, as I have been able to dive into my "untried" polishes, and this is one of them.  Radioactive is from the Neon Collection.it is a neon green polish with a bit of shimmer and has various large black glitter shapes and shards. Like Glow Stick, it also GLOWS IN THE DARK! ( Which I totally forgot to snap a photo last night ). I really love this polish and I think the next time I wear it, I'm going to use one of my top coats that has tiny pieces of silver holo flecks in it, just to give it a little extra sparkle.  Another passion,  "obsession" of mine is swim suits and I have one with Lime Green in it.  Yes, I'm one of those who has a swim suit for everyday of the week and my nails and toe must match the one I'm wearing that day!  I can't wait to wear Radioactive with my hot Pink and Lime Green bikini!  The application was great, I used 3 thins coats and 1 coat of HK Girl Top Coat.

This was such a fun color, the macro shot was able to pick up its true color.  My husband even liked it and that's a rare thing when it comes to neons!  How many KBShimmer Polishes do you have in your collection and what is your favorite?  I love getting comments and I reply to them all.  If there is anything you would like to see, please let me know.  Now that I have a clean bill of health, I am blogging full-time and would love to expand my blog and venture out of my comfort zone to try new things.  I do have plans to start showing my addiction, I mean my love for makeup soon. That is all I have for today.  Until next time, keep looking up, cause that's where it all is!

30 Days of Colour Challenge Day 20 - Matte Zoya Harlow

Hello Lovelies and Happy Monday!

Did I just say Happy Monday?!?! Wow, my weekend flew by so fast. I did not do anything exciting, but I did manage to finish coloring a page in my new Mandala Coloring Booking Vol 3,which has 50 pages of magnificent Mandala patterns.  If you haven't tried these yet, you need to! It is such a great stress reliever.  These also are available for children too.  I got mine from Amazon and picked up a few others, which will be a future blog post.  Today's theme for Day 20 in our 30 Days of Colour Swatch Challenge is Matte.  I chose Zoya Harlow, which is described on the Zoya website as : Harlow by Zoya can be best described as a rich, saturated rose plum packed with sparkling metallic shimmer in a velvety MATTEVELVET finish. A perfect choice for fall or winter that combines rich color with a lush matte finish.

Color Family - Purple, Pink
Finish - Matte
Intensity - 5 ( 1 = Sheer - 5 = Opaque )
Tone - Cool

I am not a fan of Matte polishes, however, Zoya Harlow just changed my mind!  It is a gorgeous color and I added a very quick accent nail using a Jamberry Nail Wrap.  I received a sample from Jennifer Concha-Trejo and it was so easy to apply, it took me less than a minute to do.  It looks like professional art work! You can view all the different designs on Jennifer's website and even contact her on Facebook to request a free sample to try out.  The Zoya Matt Velvet Collection is still available to purchase as a set or single bottles.  That is all I have for today.  Until next time, keep looking up cause that's where it all is!
